I started creating this series during my time in Colombia. The first inspiration was the view through the round timber window of the studio where I worked in Bogota.

 

Looking through a round window is not just a view. We often loop back to our thoughts with impressions, strong emotions of the places that mean to us. We want to experience again and again that feeling, consciously or unconsciously. Round windows of places that are imprinted in my soul. I return to them mentally, to be filled, to experience that wonderful impressions and memories.

 

 

Most of the  artwork  from this series are made using the technique of hand printing.
